I turned 25 on the 9th of July! Wow! Quarter of a century. When you put it like that, it definitely sounds like a lot but honestly I’m just a kid trying to find my place in this big and scary world. Age is just a number and it doesn’t define or restrain you in any way.
I had plans with some close friends for the evening but I wanted to do something just for myself before that and what’s better than going on a bookish adventure. Nothing. No, maybe going on an adventure in Middle Earth would be cool as well (or at least New Zealand). So I went to the biggest Waterstones in Glasgow and spent at least an hour just wandering and browsing. Then I sat in the Harry Potter Common Room they’ve designed recently and it was so beautiful and atmospheric!
They even have the banners of each house which makes it even more homey and cosy. What’s your Hogwarts house? I am a proud and loyal Hufflepuff.
Children’s books are my favourite type of books so I just couldn’t resist looking what’s new on the market and I liked so many of them! Ahhh good stories are waiting for us on every corner.
Then I spent some time chilling on the cosiest sofa ever and reading Luna’s magazine – The Quibbler. It was weird, funny and so adorable!
Words are indeed a source of magic and books remind me this every time I turn a page. I am so thankful for all of the amazing work writers do and the adventures we get to experience when reading their stories. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And lastly I wanted to show you these adorable fluffy watermelons! Aren’t there the cutest thing that existed in the toy world? Sadly, they were way to expensive for my small student budget otherwise I would have bought and taken them home with me ahah.
I send you smiles and hugs from unexpectedly warm Scotland! Please, leave a comment if you have the time as I am always looking for new friends 🙂
Smiles and pandas,
