I know I’ve been missing for quite some time and I honestly don’t have a valid reason apart from university and lack of inspiration. However, I want to come back so badly that I will be making a huge effort to seek inspiration and write here because I just love it so much.
Today I wanted to share with you everything that I discovered and loved in December!
Anne of Green Gables
Anne is such a treasure! I saw the Netflix series in the summer and I fell in love instantly! She is so witty, feisty, smart and pure. I knew I had to read all of the books and I finally started with the first one. I can’t wait to continue.
How Winston delivered Christmas
This book was so adorable and creative. Each chapter was a December day and the book essentially counted the day until Christmas. I love the idea of reading a chapter per day but I just could not resist and read the whole thing in two sittings 😀
This is probably my new favourite picture book. It is all about the spirit of Christmas and pollution at the same time. The book talks about plastic and protecting the environment. It is a masterpiece.
Movies + TV:
The Crimes of Grindelwald
I finally went and saw it a month after the release. I genuinely don’t know how I managed to wait this long but I was busy with university so that explains why. I liked it a lot more than the first one. We are finally getting some action and much needed answers! Um, also, Dumbledore is gay, whaaaaat?! I did not see this one coming 😀
Also, can we talk about how absolutely gorgeous and sexy Dumbledore and Grindelwald look? Oh my …
The Big Bang Theory Season 11
I am a little bit behind with this show but I am slowly making my way through. I love it to pieces. It is my type of humour, my type of friendships. It’s everything. Well, except the fact that it’s not Friends 😀
The obligatory Christmas day movie! It is my favourite. I love Buddy and how pure, kind and positive he is. The idea about the spirit of Christmas and how people should believe in the small things in life is just love!
I adore Lindsey Stirling and I think what she does is simply amazing. Her whole new Christmas album was on repeat during the holidays 😀
I think I’ve been listening to Zaz since her first single and she brings so much joy into my life!
A friend recommended me this song and it was love at first listen!
“And even though we might have lost tonight
The skyline reminds us of a different time
This is not the world we had in mind
But we got time”
I wanted to shout out a lot more great posts but I was so busy with Christmas preparations that I didn’t have enough time to read many. This is something I want to change next year!
Quick Reads (To beat your reading challenge) by Aurora Librialis
I defended my project and it was so stressful! I had to speak for 10 minutes all by myself about vegan celebrity cookbooks and whether they make nutritional sense. I think it went really well. Yes, my heart ran a half-marathon but I am proud of myself!
Christmas was all about eating good food, watching old school holiday movies (Elf and Home Alone are my favourite if you were wondering) and playing board games (mostly Catan, which is the best game in existence!)
All the lights and Christmas decor
I loved how beautiful and festive Glasgow was during this time of the year. It made everyday life a lot more bright and cheerful. I will most definitely miss it.
Well, that’s everything I discovered and loved this month! Let me know some of your favourites 🙂
